Introduction

Oleres ("we") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it. The app is operated from Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

Data We Collect

Account

Email, display name, preferences (language, units, display mode) — only if you create an account.

Brew data

Methods used, favorite recipes, brew logs (coffee, ratio, rating, flavor notes, personal notes) — stored securely and linked to your account.

Scanner

Coffee bag photos are sent to an AI API for text extraction. Images are NOT stored on our servers after analysis — they are processed and deleted immediately.

Flavor profile

Selected flavor tags and radar chart are calculated locally and stored in your account.

Quiz

Scores and answers are stored locally on your device.

Technical data

Device type, OS version, browser language — to improve compatibility. No IP address is stored.

What We Do NOT Collect

No contacts or address book
No payment data (handled by Apple)
No advertising tracking
No third-party cookies
No selling data to third parties — ever

Guest Mode

In guest mode (without an account), no personal data is collected. Everything stays local on your device.

Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely with encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to data is restricted by strict security policies — each user can only see their own data. No one else has access.

Third-Party Services

Database and authentication

Hosted securely on cloud infrastructure (AWS).

AI Scanner

Images are sent, processed to extract text, then deleted immediately.

In-app purchases

Payments are processed by Apple via StoreKit. Oleres never stores your payment card data.

Typography

Google Fonts is used to load app fonts.

Your Rights

You can at any time: • View your data • Export it • Modify it • Delete your account and all associated data from Profile Preferences Deletion is permanent and immediate.

Children

Oleres is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

We may update this policy. If changes are significant, we'll notify you in the app. The last update date is displayed at the top of this page.
